Epitalon

Longevity / circadian

Status
On watchlist — not yet prescribable

Mechanism

Epitalon (Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly) is a synthetic tetrapeptide derived from epithalamin, a polypeptide extract of the pineal gland. It has demonstrated telomerase activation in somatic cells, normalized circadian melatonin secretion, and antioxidant effects in multiple animal studies. Human clinical data is limited but includes small trials by Khavinson et al.

Indications

Telomere length preservation
Circadian rhythm and melatonin regulation
Age-related biomarker improvement
Antioxidant and longevity research

Regulatory status

Epitalon has no FDA approval status and sits on the 503A Category 2 list. It is not approved for clinical use in the US. Northline tracks regulatory developments globally.
