Kisspeptin-10

Hormonal axis

Status
On watchlist — not yet prescribable

Mechanism

Kisspeptin-10 is the active C-terminal decapeptide of kisspeptin, encoded by the KISS1 gene. It is the primary upstream activator of GnRH neurons, making it a master regulator of the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal (HPG) axis. Pulsatile administration stimulates LH and FSH release with downstream testosterone and estrogen effects.

Indications

Hypogonadotropic hypogonadism
Fertility and reproductive hormone optimization
HPG axis evaluation (diagnostic use in research)
Testosterone and LH support without exogenous hormone

Regulatory status

Kisspeptin-10 is not FDA-approved and is on the 503A Category 2 list. Clinical use is limited to research settings. Northline does not prescribe and monitors reclassification.
