Mechanism

Sermorelin is a synthetic analogue of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH). It binds to GHRH receptors in the pituitary, stimulating pulsatile secretion of endogenous growth hormone. Unlike exogenous GH, sermorelin preserves the natural feedback loop — output scales with the pituitary's reserve and is self-limiting.

Indications

Age-related GH decline
Lean muscle preservation and recovery
Sleep quality and slow-wave sleep architecture
Fat metabolism support alongside GLP-1 protocols

Regulatory status

Sermorelin is FDA-approved (Geref) for pediatric GH deficiency and is eligible for 503A compounding as a bulk substance. Prescribed off-label for adult wellness and anti-aging indications.
